GIS SITES NEWS

GIS SITES has dug up some GIS related news and other important information from throughout the world. South Africa is getting new satellites and Beijing, China is preparing for the 2008 Summer Olympics, which hopefully will bring about the use of GIS and Satellite imagery onto the internet in a similar fashion as the 2004 Athens Summer Games. Using satellites to prepare and analyze transportation is crucial and I'm curious if China will allow that information to become public. Also on tap are new renewable resources for our ever growing power needs. GIS SITES likes to keep tabs on these articles to watch them progress, grow, and possibly help spread the word.
