From International Herald Tribune, this article come in stride of my previous article on rating the mapping of Google, Yahoo, MapQuest, and MSN. What the article tackles is more of the overall experience of the major web players, but they have a small focus on the mapping aspect that provides some stats and ratings. I have heard that Google would like Google Earth to become a full fledged GIS site for the world, but if this is a pipe-dream or not remains to be seen.
