Her name is Elena and she's braver than me.
Some time back she took a motorcycle tour of Chernobyl, which is located just north of Kiev, Ukraine. As most know by now, this was the site of the world's worst nuclear meltdown that began on April 26, 1986. But, I'm not going to say anything else about it. I want you to read Elena's journal. She has plenty of images, maps, and pictures of the Chernobyl Ghost Town. Her trip through the territory is quite mesmerizing and she has garnered some attention on the internet for her online diary of the trip. The section "Ghost Town" has the most information and pictures for you to read. Afterwards, play with the Wikimap which utilizes the Google satellite maps, but puts descriptions and details from the Wikipedia online encyclopedia to see the areas she visited.
